:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: :eek:
Just checking the L-Pattern season list....and I didn't know TETZLAFF would be hosting the USA South Competition!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I might think about competing now since it's so close (imagine me walking to the event with a bag and suit lol!) :D.
But since Tetzlaff is hosting it, I'm assuming Nick, Jessica, and the rest of the candidates can't compete and only for exhibition? Correct me if I'm wrong :D.
And just a question about the inspection now, there is no inspection area? Someone inspects right before you perform?
And minimum music beats per minute is now 90?! Dang I can't use Crimson Tide anymore :(.

A song that Arcadia used...then Sean In (hopefully you know him :D) used, then I used in my 8th grade year :D. It's about 85 beats per minute, a great song to use (when the minimum was 78 when I was spinning).
If you guys do the L with the speaker system next Monday, maybe Mr. Mitt's will let me have a run at it and I'll do it with Crimson Tide :D.
Gotta find a new song now though . And can anyone record it onto a tape (I will provide it) once I find one? My tape recorder is like 10 years old...it can't even rewind cause it's too weak :(.

yeah,we all know who Sean In is but not really in person:(
All of us DM candidates would love to see you do the L (if we have time)
I can transfer CD to Tape but it would take time because my radio doesn't have a repeat button :(

Isn't that cool?!
But since Tetzlaff is hosting it, I'm assuming Nick, Jessica, and the rest of the candidates can't compete and only for exhibition? Correct me if I'm wrong :D.Well, Tetzlaff isn't actually HOSTING, we're just providing the venue. USA (United Spirit Association (http://www.usacamps.com/)) is the official sponsor/host of the event. I think one of the reasons they wanted us to do it was because we always have lots of students competing. With that in mind, all of our students will be performing and WILL be competing--I am making it mandatory (although they don't know it yet--course I guess they do now :) )
And just a question about the inspection now, there is no inspection area? Someone inspects right before you perform?Yup, on the line, just before you are given instructions. From what I've seen so far, it's a pretty quick assessment. To be honest, the old method was more thorough. Not really sure why this change was implemented.
And minimum music beats per minute is now 90?! Dang I can't use Crimson Tide anymore :(.Brennan wants to focus the 'L' Pattern on what it was originally intended for: to show what a drum major can do as the leader of a band in a parade. Not many bands play "Crimson Tide" in the comp zone :) ...
However, after watching this year's Rose Parade, that might be changing too (that's a topic for another thread).

He's realllllly cool, and he can teach you a lot because of all his experience.
I believe he has a website, but I can't quite put my mind on what it is.

His website is HERE (http://www.geocities.com/supersean562/drummajorlessons/home.html)
Not sure if he teaches much anymore, probably getting ready for college and such. His website hasn't been updated for a couple years.
