Here is a YouTube video from the 2006 Arcadia Festival of Bands Drum Major Salute Ceremony I thought you might enjoy seeing. The 2006 Arcadia Festival of Bands is actually a dual event with both a band review (parade) and field show competitions. This video is from the field event and is the beginning portion of the field event awards ceremony.
An honor guard from each competing group marches across the field and salutes the honor guard of the host band (in this case the host band is Arcadia High School and yes, that's Alan Riley in the white DM uniform 3rd from the left).
