The Arcadia Line up is now online HERE (http://files.drummajorcomps.com/arcadiaLpatternlineup2007.xls).
Looks like Vincent is up first (1st of the Tetzlaff DM's) at 8:32 AM.
Taking into account 30 minute prior to step off arrival time, 45 minute travel time and 15 minutes waiting at school time, you should plan to arrive at Tetzlaff on Saturday morning at 7:00 AM.
That may even be cutting it close. You think we should meet a bit earlier?
Awards begin at 4:50 PM. Plan on about a 15 minute ceremony with about 20 minutes to pack up and depart, plus ~45 minutes travel puts you home after 6:00 PM.
It's gonna be a long, but rewarding day.
Discussion please...

They marked me as Military Apprentice? oo"
Hm. 7:00 might be a little too late, so how about 6:30 or 6:45?

LOL! You better get first place then!!!! ;)
Glad to see that there are a lot more people competing at Arcadia then Burbank and the others...must be their prestige :D.

Yes, I saw that and was going to say something, but this is the first chance I've had all day to log on and do so.
Did you email Alan, or Brennan about it? If not, I'd suggest you do so.
Hm. 7:00 might be a little too late, so how about 6:30 or 6:45?OK, either is fine with me. How about the rest of you who are going?

:eek::eek: 6:30?! Kinda early LOL (for a lazy high schooler like me :D). Guess I won't be able to wake up early enough to see you guys off .
Well good luck candidates! Take into heart what we (Jessica, Nick, Aaron, May, me, etc) have told you to improve upon and be more accurate! Arcadia's the midpoint of the L-patterns this year (usually one of the last...but not as many competitions this year) so you only got a few more to prove your cool (and precise :p) spinning skills!!!
And good luck to Nick, Jessica (hopefully you got moved up to Majors or the Candidates would have a really fun time ;)), and Aaron!

OK, so it's 6:30?
How come hardly any DM candidates are logging on to check the messages (especially THIS message thread)?!?!

Yeuppp.
Vincent called everyone [I think] & told them we're meeting at 6:30 AM; just in case any of them forgot to check in here.
Thanks for the wishing of good luck, Michael. I have butterflies in my stomach right now, since I haven't been in competition for so long! I called Alan Riley about the line-up and where I was going to be placed, and he told me that he had changed it so I was back in the Military Majors division :] Whew!
Ah yes, before I forget: Nick called me right before they boarded the plane from Washington DC back to here, and told me he was probably not going to make it in time for his competition.

Everyone did a fairly good job.
I heard about the DC kids!
Half of them got back yesterday,
and the other half had to stay in Salt Lake City, and returned this morning.
I'm so glad their safe! OO"

good job jessica and vincent! yay
Yes! I was disappointed that I had to miss both of their winning performances, which brings up a good suggestion:
Michael used to bring his video camera to these events. Yes, I brought mine as well, but having his, he could record exactly what he wanted to see/study at a later time without having to rely on someone else (me) to hopefully get it for him. Due to the color guard having a similar schedule, it's tough for me to attend both group's performances. It might be wise if one or more of the DM candidates brought a camera. It helps in critiquing your own performance as well as providing examples of other's work you may want to incorporate into your own routines.
